Restaurants
Having a taste of the Apulian cuisine, means tasting
some of the best dishes Italy can offer, whether its pasta, fish,
meat or vegetables. And then there’s the wine...
|
| Some
of the most exclusive and popular restaurants
are located in Polignano a Mare, a little
town by the sea with a very romantic atmosphere.
Apart from Antiche Mura, they all overlook
the sea bay of Polignano, one of the most
beautiful bays in the region and offer,
besides excellent food, a magnificent view.

Wines
Apulia and Bari’s province in particular are well-know for
their wines. Locorotondo, Castel del Monte and the whole Salento
area produce the best red and white wines in the hwole region. Try
also the “Primitivo”, a local variety served as house
wine in little picturesque jars in almost every restaurant.
Cisternino
|
Places
to experience are San Michele Salentino
and Cisternino in the province of Brindisi.
Approximately one-hour drive but most
certainly worth it. Both villages have
an “old town” like Bari, with
romantic little white streets where grilled
meat and sausages are served at any time
of the day. A must-try experience! |
